14th Annual USMA Frank Bennett Golf Tournament
To benefit the ALS Foundation

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

The Challenge
At this year's conference, Golf Tournament Chairman, Rick Morrison announced that over $10,000 was received in 2008 for the ALS charity through USMA's Frank Bennett Golf Tournament. At the conference a video was shown explaining the story behind the tournament and how it came to be an event for the benefit of the ALS Association.
Rick surprised the audience by announcing that Aluma-Form Inc. had pledged $10,000 for ALS to be given at the 2009 conference and encouraged other companies and individuals to also donate. With individual and corporate help we can see a larger amount donated to assist patients and families as they cope with the day-to-day challenges of living with ALS and to find new treatments and a cure.
Be watching here for more information on how you can help build upon this generous donation. For more information on ALS visit www.alsa.org.
The Story Behind the Frank Bennett Tournament
Frank Bennett with BC Hydro of Vancouver, BC, was a founding Board Member of USMA. He served as chairman and played an important role in program development and USMA's strategic plan. A few years ago he was stricken with ALS and soon passed away. Frank loved golf and was a very important part of the annual conference and golf tournament. The USMA Board of Directors decided to name the annual tournament in memory of Frank and designate the ALS Foundation as the benefactor of the tournament.
