San Antonio Land, Water, Foot Tour
Monday, May 17 (9:00AM-1:00PM)

haunted hotelMeet other USMA spouses in the hotel lobby for a drive through downtown San Antonio. Your tour guide will share the story of San Antonio's development from the earliest days and help orient you to the sites of downtown.

Once through town, board a river barge for a 45-minute tour along the beautiful San Antonio River. Your guide will share the many wonderful stories that surround the history of the river itself.

local flavorNext, visit the El Mercado (Mexican Market) for a little shopping and the famous bakery at Mi Tierra's - San Antonio's original Mexican Restaurant.

Enjoy lunch at the historic and haunted Menger Hotel. Afterwards, you have the choice of shopping at the River Center Mall and boutique shops along the street -OR- touring the Alamo at leisure with your personal tour guide.

The bus will return to the hotel at 1:00PM. You can return by bus or it's an easy walk just around the corner to the Marriott if you prefer.


Guacamole & Margaritas
Tuesday, May 18

yum. gauacmole!Spice up your day with some of the finer things San Antonio has to offer: Guacamole and Prickly Pear Margaritas. It's caliente, it's cultural and it's educational. You will be instructed by the owners and staff at Boudro's Texas Bistro on The Riverwalk. We're sure you will talk about this interactive class long after it is over. Participate in this hands-on demonstration of making Boudro's famous guacamole and awardwinning Prickly Pear Margaritas. Each guest will slice, mash, mix and savor their own creations.
